ABOUT US
The Club was established in 1997 and has grown steadily. In August 2000 Golden
Valley Rangers merged with Chalford FC, a local Senior Club with excellent facilities
at its Highfield Sportsground. We are a friendly, well-organised community soccer
club who put the development of soccer skills and the right attitude above all
else. Our home games are played at Thomas Keble School, Eastcombe (Under 9’s
to Under 11’s) and Highfield Sportsground, Chalford Hill (Under 12’s
to Under 16’s). In season 2001/02 the club set up a girls section covering
under 12 and Under 14 age groups, becoming the only football club in Stroud
to offer girls a structured opportunity to participate in Football. The club
has recently been awarded the Football Association Charter Standard Development
Award in recognition of meeting standards and criteria determined by the FA.
COACHING
The coaching is designed and run by Football Association qualified and / or
trained coaches. The time/dates/venues for coaching vary according to age group.
As of September 2005 we will be running a regular Saturday Soccer Fun Club for
boys and girls aged 9 and under at Chalford Sports & Social Club between
09.30am and 10.45am. All are welcome(members and non-members) to attend on a
Saturday morning for a fee of £3.00 per session.
AGE GROUPS
For Season 2005 / 2006 we are offering opportunities for children in the following
age groups:

The following play in the 7-a-side Mid Gloucestershire Mini-Soccer League:

Under 11’s
Under 12’s and above play 11-a-side in the Stroud and District Youth League
The Under 8’s play in the Cotswold Friendly League
The Girls Under 12 and Under 14 teams play in the Gloucester County Girls League

existing players can join the club at a discounted rate. These will be at Chalford
Sports & Social Club on Sunday 17th April 2005 (1pm to 4pm)
Sunday June 5th 2005 (2pm to 5pm) and Sunday July 17th 2005(1pm to 4pm)
